IRD in the Media

The Institute on Religion and Democracy is a respected voice addressing matters of Christian social witness to the nation and the world.  Reporters turn to the IRD particularly to interpret developments in the U.S. mainline Protestant denominations, as well as the Christian community more broadly, and to gain information about situations of religious persecution or restriction overseas. IRD staff are regularly mentioned and quoted by both religious and secular news outlets in the United States and around the world.  Time Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, Christianity Today, The Chicago Tribune, and First Things are just a few of the publications that have written about the IRD or quoted its staff members within their pages.  IRD staff have also appeared on television and radio broadcasts, including such high-profile shows as 60 Minutes, The O'Reilly Factor, The Wolf Blitzer Report, and National Public Radio.

Below is a non-comprehensive list of recent quotes and mentions by various national news outlets.  Underlined titles contain links to the sources.  Titles with an asterik may require registration, or may charge a fee to access archived material.
