God is Great. Is God Green?
A Conference on Evangelicals and the Environmental Task
On November 14, 2007, the Institute on Religion and Democracy convened a conference at the Hotel Washington in downtown Washington, DC, to examine environmental issues and how evangelicals respond to them.
The conference brought together American evangelical leaders, as well as figures important to the political and non-profit spheres to discuss lectures given by some of America’s most respected scholars.
The conference also introduced the first of IRD's new Mount Nebo Papers—a report by Dr. E. Calvin Beisner entitled, "What is the Most Important Environmental Task Facing American Christians Today?" The document is available to online subscribers for download on the IRD website.
