Jim Winkler, the head of the United Methodist General Board of Church and Society, spoke at the event, comparing disbelief of the Arab mythologies surrounding the “Nakba” to denying the Holocaust. A Muslim imam also spoke, declaring that Israel may have the “might” to exist but not necessarily the “right” to exist.
